Big Hit Entertainment (Hangul: 빅 히트 엔터테인먼트), is a small record company in Korea was founded on February 1, 2005 by music producer and former musician of the Bang Si-hyuk JYP, also called “Hitman Bang”.
Big Hit Entertainment was founded on February 1, 2005.  In 2007, the group has launched 8Eight, including Lee Hyun, Baek Chan and Joo Hee.
In 2010, Big Hit Entertainment and JYP Entertainment has signed a management contract with 2AM.  That year, Bang Si Hyuk has established a nationwide audition and choice Rap Monster is the first member of the BTS, the other members also selected in turn followed. 2013, established the squad BTS 7: Rap Monster, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook . Big Hit BTS helped to strengthen and be in the limelight and is considered a strong competitor in the entertainment industry.
In 2012, the company signed a contract with Lim Jeong-hee  and established a girl group GLAM. This group was active until 2014, when they disbanded due to controversy over Kim Da-hee member, who was sentenced to prison for extortion after alleged relationship with actor Lee Byung-hun [ 8]  .
After the end of the cooperation contract between Big Hit and JYP Entertainment in April 2014, three members of 2AM back JYP, while Lee Chang-min stay with Big Hit to continue with his solo career and is part of the duo Homme.  This year also witnessed the disintegration of Baek Chan 8Eight after Joo Hee and end the contract with Big Hit.
May 2015, Lim Jeong-hee withdrew from Big Hit Entertainment have expired after three years of her contract with the company .
